Open Question: Hearing Aid Questions and Hearing Loss Questions?2 August 2010, 9:53 amSo I have been wearing hearing aids for years now. However I have some questions that I hope you guys can answer.
1. Is it possible in the case of an allergy caused inner ear (not loss related to ear drum just nerve loss) hearing loss be "cured" by hearing aids.
-"Cured" is defined as any improvement in hearing for the sake of explanation.
Reason I am asking is because my audiologist says I have tremendous improvement in my higher frequency hearing.
2. As a hearing aid wearer there is one thing that irritates me alot. My audiologist has not given me a explanation.
I will in some situations will not hear ANYONE even if they are right close to me unless they have my attention. It's like I am blocking half the world out.
If you guys can answer these questions I would be a happy camper and give you some of my smores. :)
