Open Question: I need help finding a specific hearing aid?

In one episode of "The Doctors" on TV, they spoke about a little tool that is inserted (or implanted) in the ear that helps people with hearing impairment hear all the sounds around them clearly.

Does anyone know how to get one of these? and whether it needs a surgery or it can be put in the ear by a simple procedure?
