Tinnitus or ringing ears is a disorder of the ears in which the victim often hears ringing, swishing, buzzing or other types of noises without the presence of an external source. National Institute on Deafness and Other Communications Disorders (NIDCD), states that almost 12 percent of the male population who are in the range of 65-74 years experience tinnitus. Also this condition is identified to be more prevalent in white individuals.
